You will leave this museum all surprised by seeing this volume of jewelry and precious stone. From Istanbul intersection til Ferdowsi square, take a walk and feel the noisy and crowded part of Tehran. You can take the subway back in Ferdowsi square.
The best food to try in Tehran is Ab Gousht for lunch or Kabab (you can have more information on Tehran Restaurants & Café page). Right out of the national museum on 30 Tir street, they are a lot street foods available to try.

Tehran Parks & City Center
Have more time to visit the other Tehran attractions? Great! So take the subway again, line 1 toward Tajrish station, and get off the train in Haghani station.
As you get out of the station you are right in front of Abbas Abad or Taleghani park, so enjoy your time having some walk around till you get to Tabiat Bridge (go to the direction of the bridge not the other sides, as the park is huge you may get lost). Have an impressive view of the city and don’t forget to drink some coffee or fruit juice in the cafes there. When you are finished with the bridge visit, walk back to the same subway station and take the same line 1 train toward Kahrizak and get off the train in Taleghani station, it is right near the Former United States Embassy, take some pictures from the outside (it is opened to visit, but not recommended).
From there walk to the Artists Park, which is a nice park to visit the art galleries and eat in the vegetarian restaurant. Try not to lose the time because the next places would be Museum of Contemporary Art (check out here to know about their programs, because they have temporal exhibitions) and Carpet Museum are opened until 17:00. The last place to visit is Milad Tower, the 6th tallest telecommunication tower of the world. You need to take a taxi to go there or take a Snapp (Iranian Uber). It takes 20 to 30 minutes to get there (with no heavy traffic) and you need another 45 minutes to do your visit (only the 30,000 Rial ticket is recommended not the others). For getting back to the hotel, you would better take a taxi or Snapp. Finished your day? Did you like your visit? It would be so helpful for us to have your opinions down this page.

Tehran Northern Palaces
Need to know the northern part of Tehran? Well, Tajrish square and the neighborhood around were once the villages of Tehran, but they have become a part of the city now. Take the subway, line 1 to Tajrish square, and get off the train at the last stop.
First you can spend your time in Tajrish Covered Bazaar which is right next to the subway entrance (takes 20 minutes with no stops) and then visit Imamzadeh Saleh Shrine (a holy place that ladies need to wear chador, and you need another 20 minutes to visit), it is possible that people come close to you and offer some cookies or candy, accept them all as a sign of respect, because this is the custom of the shrine to serve something to eat for the pilgrims. Then you need to take a taxi to go to Niavaran Palace (only buy the ticket of the main hall, Ahmad Shah Koushk and art gallery. You need approximately one hour and a half to visit). As you get out of the complex right near Niavaran square they are some restaurants to eat lunch that have quite good food. Don’t waste your time in the shopping centers near there because the next place you want to go, Sad Abad Palace, closes at 17:30. So after lunch take a taxi or Snapp to go directly to the palace, at least you need two hours and a half to visit the white and green palace. Enjoy the peaceful garden of the complex and drink some coffee in the outdoor cafes of the complex. (The vans fare that are available in the entrance are not included in the ticket and costs 40,000 Rial to the green palace and getting back).
Get out of the complex and walk to Tajrish square (if you like to see modern shopping center, they are quite a number of them around the square) and then start walking from the beginning of Valiasr street that is so clean, fresh and relaxing. Walk until Ferdows Garden and spend some time in the cafes there to have some conversation with people who go there to visit Cinema museum or going to the movie theater. Later you can keep walking till Iranian Art Museum Garden (another 30 minutes) to enjoy the garden or walk to Parkway Intersection and then take a snapp back to your hotel. That is the best walking part of Tehran.
If you have lunch near Niavaran square, then try some chicken stew with rice, to find the good restaurants there, click here.
